Dr. Genaro was raised in Des Moines, Iowa, around horses and other farm animals. Both of his parents are immigrants from Mexico. While in high school, Genaro’s mother fell and ended up at a chiropractic office. The chiropractor said that her pelvis was misaligned. After an adjustment, his mother started to feel better.
When Dr. Genaro was a high school student himself, he began to develop an interest in robotics. Participating in the robotics program led Dr. Genaro to a college major in Robotics and the beginning of his military career. In September of 2012, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was soon shipped to basic training in San Antonio, Texas. He served in active duty for seven years as an avionics technician. While in service, Dr. Genaro saw many of his military colleagues developing back injuries. One of his friends ended up having back surgery, which made the condition worse, leading to a medical discharge from service.
This is when Dr. Genaro realized he needed to make a career change. He remembered his mother’s experience with chiropractic care and decided to pursue a degree in health and wellness. He graduated from Arkansas State University with an Associate Degree in Health Sciences, in addition to his degree in Aviation Technology from the Community College of Air force. In 2020, Dr. Genaro moved to Connecticut and started the path to becoming a Chiropractor. He obtained his doctorate in Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport and has been helping people through chiropractic adjustments since then.
Dr. Genaro enjoys soccer, boxing, and spending time with his wife and two-year-old son. He continues to serve our country as a member of the Air Force Reserves. We look forward to working with him, and hope everyone will extend a warm welcome as he joins our Healing Hands Family.
